End of course surfing trip to Lanzarote

Still don’t know where to celebrate your end of year trip? Explore a new concept of trip for students of 4 of the ESO, of high school and for university students, in which the surf and the sport, in general, will make you take some unforgettable memories of Famara. And it is not necessary to fly to the other side of the Atlantic to find the fun. Only two and a half hours away from the Peninsula you will find a paradise known as Lanzarote, where you can take your first steps into the world of surfing and complete a surfing course for principals, in which you will receive a diploma from the school with the most years of experience in all the Canary Islands. Have fun with your friends on the board and discover, through various programmed excursions, the beauty of an island declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. You choose the date, but don’t delay in booking because we usually hang up the whole sign quickly.

Basic four-day course travel pack:

  • Accommodation in our surf house. Calima Surf has its own surf camp equipped with all the facilities to make you feel at home during your stay. The rooms are shared so that you can share the day’s anecdotes with your best friends. It is only 100 metres from the sand and in the heart of the Famara natural reserve, a privileged place in Lanzarote.
  • Full board accommodation. Forget about food and leave it in our hands. You will have breakfast in the surfhouse and try some of the most typical meals of our land without moving from what will be your base camp. In between surfing sessions a hot lunch will be waiting for you on the beach.
  • Surf lessons every day. You will travel to paradise in search of the best waves in Europe and will have a choice during your stay. You will have two full days of surfing and a third half day between your arrival and departure dates. In total, you will spend around 15 hours in the water.
  • Necessary material for surfing. On the first day you will be given a wetsuit, a lycra and some booties, which will be responsible for you during your days on Lanzarote. You will also have your own soft board, but whether you keep it or move to a smaller one will depend on your progress. You never know, you might find the future Kelly Slater in your group.
  • Transfer from the airport to Famara and vice versa It will not be necessary for you to hire an extra transport service because the school has its own network of vehicles to manage the arrival and departure of each group in the end-of-year trip mode.
  • Souvenirs on the water. If you catch your first wave, our photographer will capture that moment so that you can show off at home that little achievement that can become the first step towards a new hobby. Your group will be neither the first nor the last to repeat the experience with us.
  • Course diploma. Small details make all the difference. Calima Surf gives a diploma at the end of every course. In this way, you will be able to accredit your level for the future because it is not about completing the first level, but about climbing the ladder of levels to prepare yourself so that tomorrow you can surf on your own in almost any spot in the world.

Additional options on longer trips:

  • Guided tours. The groups that opt for the six or seven days modality, as well as the multiadventure pack, also have one or more guided visits. One of them is to the Timanfaya National Park. This is one of the most charming places on the island of Lanzarote and one that no tourist who steps on the island of volcanoes should miss.
  • Karting day. Feel like Fernando Alonso when he first got behind the wheel of one of the most famous go-kart circuits in the Canary Islands.
  • Other sports. For those groups that contract the multiadventure pack, which lasts six days and five nights, there will be many other sports activities waiting for them, among which we can highlight beach football, SUP, badminton and a long etcetera because we don’t want to reveal all our secrets to you. Come and discover them with your friends!

Other information of interest:

  • Duration: 4, 6 or 7 days.
  • Place: Famara (Lanzarote). The town of Famara is located in the north of the island between the municipalities of Teguise and Haria. It has one of the best beaches to start surfing in the Canary Islands. The winds, the tides and the sea bed generate waves of the right size for a beginner surfer.
  • Reservations: to make a reservation contact us via email (info@calimasurf.com) or at the following telephone numbers: (34) 928528528 / (34) 626913369.

Person in charge of the course: Maike Cruz With more than three decades of surfing behind her, there are few people on Lanzarote better qualified to guide you through your first hours in the water.
