Surfing holiday for beginners and advanced

Famara the best sand beach in Lanzarote to surf. Famara is undoubtedly the mecca of surfing where the best surfers of the Lanzarote island have learned. Just name-dropping these three local surfers stars: Yeray Martinez, Manuel Lezcano, José María Cabrera … This is why these three surfers live in Caleta de Famara and you can find them often surfing in this wonderful beach of Lanzarote.

If you’ve already done some initiation courses in surf schools or camps and you consider that you know enough to be independent, or if you are an experienced surfer, we have the best surfcamp for you! Come and have fun surfing in Famara (Lanzarote) with Calima Surf School!

Our surf house is located 100 meters from the beach, which has more than five kilometers of sand beach with different types of waves –very good for beginners and intermediate surfers  and a sandy bottom where you´re less likely to get hurt. Down by the village there are also seven great-quality waves, with a rocky bottom for advanced surfers.

If you want to do things by yourself, we have three different surfing holidays to offer you:

Fully equipped Surfcamp specialized for beginners: Accommodation in a private room and softboards made of cork material that will make it very difficult for you to get hurt. These boards are very fun to use when you have little experience: they’re much easier to stand on thanks to its great flotation quality and are designed for beginner´s surfing. They’re the ones used by surf schools and are available in sizes: 6.6, 7.0, 7.2, 7.6 and 8.0

Surf camp with full equipment for intermediates: Accommodation in a private room and surfboards made of hard epoxy material, of all sizes (fish, shortboards, evolutionary, minimalibu, longboards). By selecting this camp you can change boards three times a week depending on the size of the waves, so it is as if you had a quiver of three boards at your disposal for you.

Surf camp with full equipment for advanced surfers: Accommodation in private room and high quality ultralight surfboards, fibre or epoxy to choose from, in all sizes (fish, shortboards, longboards). By selecting this camp you will be able to make three board changes per week depending on the size of the waves, so it is as if you had a three board quiver at your disposal.
