Cancellation Policies

How to book

  1. The traveler request room/course/camp availability with dates and number of people by email or telephone.
  2. Once we confirm the availability we will send you a budget attached, indicating the deposit required to confirm reservation. This deposit must be paid within 48 hours by direct debit, bank transfer, credit card or Paypal (surcharge 5%). The outstanding amount is paid IN CASH upon arrival to our center. A surcharge will also apply depending on the payment method.
  3. If the customer failed to make the deposit prior to 48 hours after we send the mail with a quote for your reservation and confirmation of availability you will need to contact us to check again the availability otherwise Calima Surf is not liable for any overbooking.

 

Cancellation policy

Modifications valid for the surf camp and equipment rental

Modifications can be requested upon arrival at the school, but changes cannot reduce the number of participants, days, or the total price of the original booking.
If reductions are requested, Calima reserves the right not to refund any amount.

Modifications valid for surf lessons

You can change the day or time of the activity.

Modifications can always be requested with at least 24 hours’ notice, but changes cannot reduce the number of participants, days, or the total price of the original booking.
If reductions are requested, Calima reserves the right not to refund any amount.

SURF CAMP

Cancellation by the participant / No-show

-No refund will be made if the participant does not show up.
-Reductions in days, participants, or total price are not allowed.

Exceptions

  1. Cancellation at least 30 business days before the start date:
    Amounts paid will be refunded minus €35 in administration fees.
  2. Cancellation between 7 and 30 business days before the start of the camp:
    There will be no cash refund, but the amount paid will be kept as a voucher for a future booking, valid for 12 months and transferable to third parties.
    The student may choose new dates, subject to availability.
  3. Cancellation less than 7 business days before the start:
    There will be no right to a refund or voucher.
    A full penalty will be applied as administration fees.

Cancellation by the company

If Calima cancels for internal reasons (e.g. lack of instructors): 100% refund.
If the cancellation is due to adverse sea conditions (waves that are too big, dangerous currents, or unsafe situations for practice): The option to reschedule the activity for another date or receive a voucher valid for 12 months, transferable to third parties, will be offered.

SURF LESSONS (SINGLE LESSONS OR PACKAGES)

Cancellation by the participant / No-show

No refunds will be made if the participant does not show up.
Reductions in days, participants, or total price are not allowed.
In the event of a no-show without prior notice, the participant loses any right to compensation.

Exceptions

Cancellation with at least 24 hours’ notice: The option to reschedule the activity for another date or receive a voucher valid for 12 months, transferable to third parties, will be offered.
Accident during the lesson, with a medical certificate provided: Voucher for the remaining lessons.

Cancellation by the company

Internal reasons: 100% refund.
Adverse sea conditions (big waves, dangerous currents, unsafe situations): Another date for the activity will be proposed or a voucher valid for 12 months, transferable to third parties, will be issued.

EQUIPMENT RENTAL

Cancellation by the participant

There is no refund once the rental period has started.
If cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice: The option to reschedule the activity for another date or receive a voucher valid for 12 months, transferable to third parties, will be offered.

No-show

No refund or compensation.

Cancellation by the company

If Calima is unable to provide the equipment: 100% refund.

EXTERNAL ACTIVITIES (YOGA, KITESURF, DIVING, ETC.)

For these activities, Calima acts only as an intermediary.
No refunds are made by Calima, and we adhere to the cancellation policy of each provider company.
It is recommended to book these activities close to the desired date, to ensure they can be carried out depending on sea and weather conditions.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

All cancellations, changes, or incidents must be reported to the shop staff or the reservations department at the following number: +34 626 91 33 69.
Surf instructors are not responsible for handling cancellations, changes, or incidents.
